Georgina wants your input on specific features at the new Julia Munro Park in Sutton.
Named after the late MPP for York -- Simcoe, the new park will be located on Timberbank Square in the Lakeside Meadows subdivision.
The town wants to know how residents feel about a number of added park amenities -- namely public washrooms and port-a-potties.
The town created an online survey, asking about the importance or lack of importance of washroom facilities on site, taking into consideration future costs such as cleaning, disinfecting and surveillance.
The deadline to submit your comments is Oct. 9.
The new park design includes a feature playground, splash pad, outdoor fitness equipment, walking trails, open spaces and a hard-surface court that can be used for basketball in the summer and converted into an ice rink in the winter. Future features may also include a sports field such as a soccer pitch.
The budget for the park is about $1.8 million, funded through development fees. But that does not include public washrooms or port-a-potties on site.
Adding those amenities would cost about $275,000, pushing the cost for the park upwards to about $2.1 million.
