      Travellers visiting  Vaughan will soon have another place to rest their weary heads.
      JUST THE FACTS
      
        - The  six-storey hotel is being built at 6800 Hwy. 7, a 1.58-acre site at the  northeast corner of Hwy. 50, in Woodbridge.      
 
      
      
        - The  3,314-square-foot hotel is expected to feature 119 rooms, an indoor pool,  outdoor patio, 114 parking spaces for vehicles and eight bike parking spaces,  according to the City of Vaughan.
 
      
      
        - The new  hotel, under InterContinental Hotels Group's new avid brand, is projected to  open in 2021      
 
      
      
        - Avid  brand hotels cater to so-called "mid-scale" travellers by delivering  the basics "done exceptionally well at a fair price", according to  the company’s website.
 
      
      
        - Guests  can expect a high quality mattress, rooms designed to help reduce noise, built-in work spaces as well as a  "high-quality", complimentary grab-and-go breakfast with brand-name  options, rather than a hot, cooked breakfast, the company says.
