Reconstruction work to continue into November

Reconstruction work on Church Street is part of the Treasure Hill subdivision development project.

JUST THE FACTS:

Location: Church Street, 150 metres west of Natanya Boulevard;

Phase one of construction is west of Natanya Boulevard and phase two is east of Natanya Boulevard to Woodbine Avenue;

Construction for phase one started in September and is expected to be completed in November;

Construction of phase two will take place in the spring and Church Street, east of Natanya Boulevard, is expected to be closed for three months;

Roadwork includes urbanizing Church Street to include new sidewalks and curbs; installing new stormwater and sewer infrastructure; and road resurfacing;

Construction is a private project, funded by the developer as a requirement for the new Treasure Hill subdivision;

Church Street is closed except for local traffic. Drivers are to use Morton Avenue or Old Homestead Road to travel east or west between Woodbine Avenue and The Queensway South.
