King Township appoints new director of finance

The Township of King has appointed a new director of finance/treasurer.

Peggy Tollett will assume the position as of Sept. 8.

Tollett was most recently the general manager of community services for the Town of Caledon. She ran the largest department within the town and oversaw the preparation of the annual operating budget, capital budget and long-range plans for each division.

Tollett started her career at Caledon as the manager of revenue, then served as deputy treasurer then treasurer in 2014.

Tollett is a certified general accountant and chartered professional accountant.

“We are thrilled to have Peggy lead our finance team and join as a member of the senior leadership team at the Township of King,” said Daniel Kostopoulos, King's chief administrative officer.

“She has exemplary leadership and innovation strengths, which will assist in helping to transform King’s corporate vision of continued process improvements and efficiencies, particularly in our current evolving delivery models during a complex time in our community’s history.”
