Staff member at Stouffville Distirict Secondary School tests positive for COVID-19

York Region Public Health investigation determined no cohorts of students required to stay home

A staff member from Stouffville District Secondary School has tested positive for COVID-19, according to York Region Public Health.

The staff member last attended the school Sept. 24. An investigation from public health determined no cohorts of students are required to stay home.

York Region Public Health will conduct a thorough investigation to identify close contacts of the COVID-19 case.

If you are considered a close contact, public health will contact you.

Public health measures in place at the school to help reduce the spread of the virus include physical distancing, increased hand hygiene, dividing students into cohorts, and masks.
