Starting Sept. 25, Aurora residents can jump into Culture Days, which will feature both online and in-person events this year.
Culture Days is a four-week interactive, immersive arts and culture festival happening across Aurora and Canada from Sept. 25 to Oct. 25.
Events will take place online at www.aurora.ca/culturedays and in-person, with COVID-19 safety precautions in place.
With the celebrations spanning over the course of four weeks, the town has collaborated with local cultural organizations to bring residents a number of new experiences highlighting Aurora’s arts, culture and heritage scene.
Participants can experience artistic performances, cooking demonstrations, music festivals, virtual tours, photography contests, walking tours and more.
This year’s theme is “find your creative space,” and to help residents do that, the town and various cultural groups are offering Culture in a Box, which contains various cultural activities, arts and crafts, and hands-on tactile experiences that can be completed safely from home or while physically distancing in the community.
The boxes are free to Aurora residents and will be available for pick up starting Sept. 26.
Quantities are limited, so register now to reserve your box by visiting www.aurora.ca/culturedays, where you will also find a calendar of all Culture Days activities.
