A high-density development proposed in Oak Ridges is up for public discussion.

The City of Richmond Hill is scheduled to hold an electronic public meeting on Oct. 7 to brief the public on a 11-story tower application along Bayview Avenue.

Who: Azan Holdings Inc.

Where: 13572 and 13586 Bayview Ave.

The subject lands have a combined frontage of 109.8 metres (360.24 feet) along Bayview Avenue and a total area of 1.0977 hectares (2.71 acres).

What: The proposed development is comprised an 11-storey high-density residential building with a total of 122 dwelling units on the subject lands.

How: The proposed official plan amendment would increase the maximum permitted density to 111 units per hectare (45.02 units per acre) and increase the maximum permitted height to 11 storeys.

The proposed zoning bylaw amendment would rezone the subject lands from “Agricultural (A) Zone” to “Multiple Residential One (RM1) Zone” and “Environmental Protection Area (EPA2) Two Zone,” with site specific development standards to permit the residential development.
