Looking for a local adventure while back-to-school plans are still in the air -- one last summer hurrah?
Check out these places in York Region with COVID-19 protocols in place. Let the adventure begin.
Sky Zone
2839 Rutherford Rd., Vaughan
The extreme trampoline park sprays its facility daily with public health approved disinfectant. The park also implemented new standards to reduce capacity and enable physical distancing. Jumpers, parents and toddlers are to pre-book for dedicated time slots.
Reptilia
2501 Rutherford Rd., Vaughan
Masks are mandatory inside the premiere reptile zoo. To limit capacity, admission times are staggered and tickets limited. Patrons will be guided through the zoo at a steady pass and there is a passing lane to maintain physical distancing.
Brooks Farms
122 Ashworth Rd., Mount Albert, East Gwillimbury
The Barnyard Playland is now open daily, offering 10 acres of outdoor farm fun including a sandbox, tire-horse swings, bouncing ponies, corn maze, mountain lookout and rubber duck racing. Hand sanitization stations have been installed throughout the park area.
Lionel’s Farms
11714 McCowan Rd., Whitchurch-Stouffville
Visits to the family-friendly farm must now be prepaid and preregistered. Families can register for dedicated times for the petting farm or private pony ride package. Masks are encouraged and no feeding the animals at this time.
Treetop Trekking Stouffville and Treewalk Village
Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area, 3291 Stouffville Rd., Whitchurch-Stouffville
Reserve your spot to climb to the tallest tree or swing from branch to branch at Treetop Trekking. Admission times are staggered and tickets are limited to reduce capacity. Waivers can now be filled out on smartphones and there are no cash payments on site.
