If you live in Woodbridge and are keen to get tested for COVID-19, then mark your calendar for Aug. 19 and Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua promoted this event too on Twitter. He said York Region’s Local Health Integration Network will be conducting two COVID-19 pop-up testing clinics in the Woodbridge Pool and Memorial Arena parking lot, located at 5020 Hwy. 7.

The mayor also said Vaughan Fitness will reopen on Monday, Aug. 10, adding there will be “strict measures” in place to “protect all users and staff” from COVID-19. Vaughan Fitness is part of the city’s recreational services offered to its residents.

On Aug. 13, the City of Vaughan said in a statement that it “continues to take a disciplined, measured and responsible approach to reopening the city.”

It added how “citizens are reminded to use caution when visiting recently opened facilities and amenities.”

On Aug. 10, Vaughan Fitness -- part of the city's recreational services offered to its residents -- opened. However, most of Vaughan’s facilities, including city hall, will remain closed to the public until Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, and “potentially beyond.”
