Thornton Bales -- King Township

Nicknamed "99 Steps," Thornton Bales is known for its steep slopes that connect to the University of Toronto’s Koffler Scientific Reserve at Jokers Hill. Look for pileated woodpeckers and white-tailed deer.

Sheppard’s Bush -- Aurora

Stroll through a mature sugar bush along the East Holland River. Sheppard’s Bush has more than three kilometres of trails. Parking is available at the Industry Street parking lot for three hours Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
