The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has launched a “Camp-In-A-Box” program for kids ages 4 to 13 who are unable to attend in-person camp programs.

There are three levels of “Camp-In-A-Box,” each one catered to a different age group: ages 4 to 5, 6 to 9, and 10 to 13. They will contain new activities each week, and you will require one box per child.

Each box will contain activities and the necessary supplies for the week, other than some common items you may already have at home (scissors, pencil crayons, etc.). All activities come with complete instructions. Some adult supervision may be required, depending on the activity.

Curbside pickup is available the week prior to registered date at the Leisure Centre, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. or Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost of a box for one week is $60.

You can register at townofws.ca/wsplayonline.

Modified in-person summer camp programs are also available. These camps will provide care, education and recreational activities for children ages six to 12.

The summer camps will begin July 20 and run for seven one-week sessions. Camp registration is available to Whitchurch-Stouffville residents until July 17 and then will be opened to non-residents, space permitting, on July 18. Registration will continue until camps are full.
