Congratulations to the City of Vaughan and Vaughan Public Libraries on achieving the Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF) Accessibility Certified Gold for three locations. There are only three municipal buildings in the province that are gold certified - all of which are City of Vaughan and Vaughan Public Libraries facilities. These include, Vaughan City Hall, Civic Centre Resource Library, Pleasant Ridge Library and North Thornhill Community Centre. The RHF works to help improve accessibility in the public places where people live, work, learn and play. A rating system is used to evaluate the accessibility of a site and certify it at one of two levels - RHF Accessibility Certified or RHF Accessibility Certified Gold. A gold certification is the highest achievement.
