UPDATE: Vaughan firefighters quickly douse morning fire at paint supplies business
No injuries, unknown quantity of liquids were threatened by flames

The cause of an early morning fire in Vaughan remains under investigation this afternoon.
Vaughan Fire & Rescure Service responded to a 911 call at 7:38 a.m. on July 15 reporting that smoke was visible inside a business located at 420 Millway Avenue.
Firefighters arrived to investigate thick black smoke coming from a warehouse area at YHD Distributors, a distributor of paint supplies, located in the Jane Street and Cidermill Avenue area. They encountered smouldering plastics creating zero visibility conditions. A pallet of liquids was later determined to be non-flammable paint thinner.
The fire was controlled within 25 minutes of the alarm, according to Deputy Chief Andrew Zvanitajs. He added ventilation improved visibility dramatically.
No injuries were reported at this incident and neighbouring businesses were not impacted.
The cause and origin of this fire is under investigation. Damages are estimated to be $5,000 in product
The property has been turned back over to the owners.
