Major Mackenzie Drive is undergoing a major overhaul between Hwy. 400 and Hwy. 50 in Vaughan.
The fourth section of this massive transformation, from the currently under construction Hwy. 427 extension to the border with Brampton, is now in full swing.
JUST THE FACTS:
- Road work started in late May and is expected to be finished by the end of this year.
- The work on this section includes widening the roadway to six lanes from two lanes as well as installing sidewalks, multi-use paths and improved lighting.
- Construction will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Drivers should be prepared for the possibility of delays as Major Mackenzie Drive may be reduced to a single lane in each direction during that time.
