Many residents voice their concerns when a new subdivision in their community is proposed, but they don’t often speak up about what type of business development they want to see in their municipality.

As the Region of York updates its land use policies in its official plan determining how the region will grow, it is giving residents a chance to share their thoughts on what future employment lands will look like in their community.

Have your say on June 16 at 4 p.m. when the region hosts a virtual meeting. Visit york.ca/haveyoursay and from there click on "have your say."

The region is expected to add 250,000 new jobs by 2041, bringing the total to 900,000.

Regional council wants York Region to be a place where businesses offering high quality job opportunities choose to locate in order to increase economic stability and raise the overall standard of living.
