A tele-townhall session on the current status of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Richmond Hill is scheduled for May 7 at 6:30 p.m.
The event, hosted by Deputy Mayor Joe DiPaola, and co-hosted by Mayor Dave Barrow, invites Richmond Hill residents to ask questions related to the COVID-19 crisis.
York Region Medical Officer of Health Dr. Karim Kurji, York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween and Richmond Hill Fire Chief Steve Kraft are expected to be live on call during the tele-townhall session.
It’s going to be the first COVID-19 teleconference call held in Richmond Hill, where 172 residents have tested positive for the virus, including five COVID-19-related deaths, as of May 6.
As the novel coronavirus continues to spread across Canada, Richmond Hill has taken a series of actions to curb its further spread, from facility closures to financial relief measures.
Residents can click here and listen to the session live through an audio stream, which starts at 6:30 p.m.
Those who wish to participate in the tele-townhall conversation can register at joedipaola.ca to submit their questions.
