Refunds will be issued automatically to all registered participants and permit holders without penalty, the City of Vaughan said April 2 after cancelling all recreation spring programs to curb the spread of COVID-19.
"City-led events up until June 2020 have also been postponed," it said.
"Refunds will be issued automatically to all registered participants and permit holders, without penalty, to the original form of payment used. If paid by debit or cash, a cheque will be sent by mail.
"Refunds will be processed within two to three weeks," it added.
The city also said memberships will be extended for the duration of the closure, and all pre-authorized payments will be deferred until further notice.
Meanwhile, the city said "at this time, summer camps are still running". However, payments have been deferred to May 15 and June 15, and the city will monitor the situation and re-evaluate if necessary.
