Second Mississauga coronavirus telephone town hall coming

Mississauga will host another telephone town hall event to discuss residents' concerns about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the city and Peel Region's response.
The call-in town hall is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8 at 7 p.m., with Dr. Lawrence Loh, Peel’s medical officer of health, Mississauga mayor Bonnie Crombie and a representative from Trillium Health Partners hospital.
According to a media release from the city, the call-in town hall is scheduled to run for 90 minutes and residents can ask COVID-19-related questions of the panel, which also includes Mississauga city manager Janice Baker and Nishan Duraiappah, Peel Regional Police chief.
Tim Beckett, Mississauga fire chief and director of emergency management, will also be present on the call, as well as Peel Paramedic Services chief Peter Dundas.
Residents can participate in the town hall by calling 1-877-229-8493 and entering ID number 115911 on the day of the event.
The event will also be livestreamed online.
Mississauga’s first telephone town hall happened March 20.
