York Region is rehabilitating the sanitary sewer along Ninth Line in Stouffville from Hoover Park Dr. to Reeves Way Blvd. to extend the life of the sewer.
Most of the work will be done at night and inside the sewer.
The region said while overnight work can be disruptive to those who live near the construction area, it is taking steps to reduce impacts, where possible.
There will be periodic lane restrictions along Ninth Line between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Staff will be on site to help with the flow of traffic.
Drivers are asked to reduce their speed through the construction area.
Access to all homes and buildings will be maintained and there will be no impact to local water services.
