The Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library is launching a community check-in service.
The service enables residents to contact staff about how the library can serve them during the closure.
Inquiries can range from asking about online resources to chatting with library staff about books and films.
“We know how important it is to stay connected during this period,” Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library CEO Margaret Wallace said. “Library staff miss the interactions they have with residents on a daily basis and this tool enables them to continue offering the exceptional customer service we are known for in a safe way.”
To register for this program, visit the Library’s website at www.wsplibrary.ca, click on the Community Check-in Service button, and complete the form. If you do not have access to a computer, call 905-642-7323 ext. 5222.
Fifteen of 17 library workers in Stouffville were laid-off when the library closed last month.
