Council will be meeting again. But not in the way you think.

The town sill be holding virtual council meetings April 22, May 6 and 27 starting at 9 a.m.

The town will be using the Zoom platform to livestream meetings on the town’s website.

“These virtual council meetings will allow the town to move forward critical municipal business during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mayor Margaret Quirk.

“We are all adapting to this new normal. Despite the Civic Centre being closed, we will be able to include and engage with the community by using the technology tools we have to continue to hold council meetings.”

Residents can comment on agenda items by providing written or email comments to the town clerk no later than noon the day prior to the council meeting.

Comments can be sent to rdillabough@georgina.ca.

Comments received will be read and entered into the public record.

Details and items on the upcoming agendas are currently being finalized. The council meetings will not include any planning reports that require a public hearing.
