2020 Yellow Brick House Gala

The 15th annual Yellow Brick House Gala was held at Le Parc Banquet Hall with 330 people in attendance to support Yellow Brick House and to continue to Break The Silence and work toward ending domestic violence. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeurves at food stations followed by a delicious three-course dinner. Silent and live auctions were held with Layne, The Auctionista conducting the live auction. Entertainment was provided by D & the Groove Factory. In her formal remarks, Lorris Herenda, Executive Director, Yellow Brick House spoke of the importance of funding the 24/7 Crisis and Support Line which managed 3,356 calls last year alone. Since 1978, Yellow Brick House has been one of the largest providers in Ontario of services to women and children escaping domestic violence and abuse. The mission of Yellow Brick House is to provide life-saving services and prevention programs to meet the diverse needs of individuals, families and communities impacted by violence. Its vision is "Freedom from violence. Equality for all." Yellow Brick House is committed to providing a wide range of free and confidential support services to women and children to empower them to live safer and healthier lives.
