In 2007, John Amendola started snapd Vaughan, which quickly grew into one of the city’s most read publications. Over the past 13 years, John and his team have covered over 10,000 events and forged relationships with thousands of businesses. After 13 years, John and his wife Cathy moved from reporting stories about local businesses to telling stories for local businesses and creating “content that works.”

Convenience. Value. Ease. Service.

These are the principles that guide John and his team. And they’re what keep AMG’s clients coming back.

“The reasons people came to us in 2007 are the same reasons they come to us now,” says founder John Amendola. “We find what’s compelling and we showcase it well, whether it’s expressed as a brand, a piece of content or a strategy. We’re obsessed with the ultimate
customer experience.”

This AMG brand launch and subsequent open house comes on the heels of a three-year, $200,000 commitment (half in cash, half in kind) by AMG in support of Mackenzie Health’s effort to improve mental health services in Vaughan.

“Mental illness, depression and suicide are all unfortunately a reality of the creative space,” says Amendola. “I’ve seen far too many of my past and present colleagues struggle. We’re honoured to be part of a solution.”

The AMG team grew from five to fourteen in just under two years

AMG’s core competency is still in media and specialty publishing for corporations and real estate companies. Most recently, we took over resale HOMES + CONDOS, a GTA-wide publication to continue creating more places to tell our clients’ stories. The business is on a serious trajectory now and John Amendola is excited for the future.

“So many businesses in Vaughan and beyond need help telling their stories the right way to the right people at the right time,” says John. “Helping them achieve their own upward trajectory through story and strategy is extremely rewarding.”
