In Kleinburg, some new kind of flowers are emerging, they aren’t really real but they embody humanity’s deepest yearning for a positive outcome amid the COVID-19 pandemic that’s confining many of us at home and hitting people's income.

These flowers are signs placed in front of people’s homes in Kleinburg to remind the passerby to “stay positive” and that “Kleinburg is strong.”

Councillor of Ward 1, Marilyn Iafrate, who represents the north area of Vaughan made up of Maple and Kleinburg, took notice of this.

“Village of Kleinburg shows off true community spirit during this time of social distancing and concerns -- these flowers are a sign of hope and comfort, which we all need right now WELL DONE!” she tweeted Saturday.

And it’s not only Kleinburg. There are other positive images coming out in other parts of York Region expressing people's appreciation of all the work front line workers are doing.

Heather Avery shared with York Regional Police, an embroidery attached to a tree in Sharon, thanking them.

“In Sharon, Ont., embroidered by Gloria Nevitt, 81 years old. Thank you!” Avery wrote in response to York Regional Police sharing photos of signs popping out in tribute of first responders and front-line workers efforts.

“To our COVID-19 front-line heroes, thank you for being light during this time,” read one of the photos of the signs shared by the police.

These signs not only have warmed York Regional Police’s hearts but yielded a response.

“We see your signs and truly appreciate your support,” tweeted the police.
