As part of the construction plans for the Rutherford GO Station expansion project, workers will continue be in the area of Rutherford Road in Vaughan.
JUST THE FACTS:
- Metrolinx is bringing customers an improved and remodelled Rutherford GO Station, with a six-storey parking structure, a new station building and customer amenities.
- Contractors continue to work in the area and will begin drilling on the north section of Rutherford Road.
- Contractors will then begin drilling moving south toward the Rutherford GO Station.
- This drilling work will implement a grade separation retaining wall, which will allow the crew to begin the construction of the Rutherford underpass.
- Drilling will begin in March and continuing into April, with some overnight work.
- On nights when work is expected, it will be from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Efforts to minimize impacts from drilling and equipment will be made by the contractors.
