Vaughan woman, Markham man bring York Region's COVID-19 related death toll to 4
Man was resident of Markhaven Home for Seniors, woman had household contact with another victim

The number of COVID-19 related deaths in York Region has grown to four.
Two more coronavirus-related deaths were confirmed March 30, including a 100-year-old Vaughan woman who had household contact with another victim.
That victim was a woman in her 80s who died March 26. It is not confirmed if the women are mother and daughter.
A third individual, a male, connected to the household has also tested positive.
The other death reported March 30 is an 88-year-old man who was a resident at Markhaven Home for Seniors in Markham. He died March 28.
Multiple positive tests have been confirmed among staff and residents at the Markham long-term care facility. which was declared in outbreak on March 22.
In addition, Yee Hong long-term care health centre in Markham, has reported 11 ill residents and 10 staff members, including one worker, a Peel Region resident, who has tested positive, according to York Region medical officer of health, Dr. Karim Kurji in his March 30 daily update.
