York Region is working on upgrades to the elevated water tank at Fisher Street.

Just the Facts:

• The elevated water tank is located at 60 Fisher Street in King City.

• Construction will be mostly limited to the elevated tank site with some minor work happening in the roadway.

• Upgrades aim to improve the operations of the elevated tank and reduce disruptions to the local water distribution system.

• Upgrades include replacing original electrical and mechanical equipment, repairing masonry and installing valves for future maintenance activities.

• Access to homes and buildings will be maintained with advance notice will be given of any restrictions.

• Water service may be turned off for short periods of time during construction. Advanced notice will be given.

• Every effort will be made to minimize construction related noise and dust.

• The upgrades are expected to cost $700,000.
