In a colourful celebration fit for the occasion, Vaughan Mills celebrated the arrival of the Lunar New Year on Friday, January 24th. Ringing in the Year of the Rat, Vaughan Mills hosted a "Fortune Spree" for shoppers where there was truly something for everyone. Hosting a traditional lion dance and drummers, it was a true spectacle of entertainment enjoyed by many. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and members of Council were also in attendance and took turns at the "wishing tree." There were also a number of great offers for visitors, photo opportunities with the God of Fortune and a chance to visit the WISHING TREE. Here, visitors could hang their wishes for 2020 and receive a "lucky" fortune cookie filled with well wishes OR a prize! The tree resembles a cherry tree in full bloom and is stunning to see. This was an event where everyone was sure to walk away a winner!
