Case closed: What’s cancelled in Georgina in light of coronavirus

Municipalities across York Region are cancelling events and closing doors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Here's how programs and facilities are impacted in Georgina:
The Georgina Civic Centre will be closed to the public until April 6. Residents are encouraged to contact the customer service line 905-476-4301 or emailĀ info@georgina.ca, and to make payments via online banking;
The town will not be conducting any in-person interviews. The closing date for any current job postings will be extended to March 31 until further notice;
Council meeting will proceed as scheduled with reduced agendas with only sensitive and statutory items listed. Special council and committee meetings are also cancelled;
Building, fire and by-law staff will not be conducting building inspections until further notice. Emergency inspections will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The following locations are closed to the public until April 6:
Fire Services administrative building;
All registered programs, camps and third-party facility rentals are cancelled. Refunds will be issued as soon as possible.
The Georgina Animal Shelter is closed to the public but staff will be on site to care for the animals.
