Case Closed: What’s cancelled in Aurora in light of coronavirus
Every York Region municipality has closed and cancelled events and facilities

Municipalities across York Region are cancelling events and closing doors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Here are programs and facilities are impacted in Aurora:
- Town Hall and joint operations centre are closed. Some services will still be available by email, online and telephone;
- Overnight parking enforcement has been suspended but will be in place if there is a snow event. Daytime parking enforcement is still active for all general offenses and complaints from the public;
- General committee and council meetings on March 24 and 31 at 7 p.m. will still take place, but will be closed to media and the public. Residents wishing to comment on any item on the agendas should email clerks@aurora.ca and they will be forwarded to the mayor and councillors;
- To view the live meetings, visit aurora.ca/gcstream or view the archived video on the Town of Aurora's YouTube channel;
- All advisory, ad hoc and committee meetings and Local Planning Appeal Tribunals will be cancelled until further notice;

The following facilities are closed until April 6:
- Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex;
- Aurora Family Leisure Complex;
- Aurora Museum and Cultural Centre;
- Advisory committee meetings are cancelled;
- All Club Aurora memberships are on hold until April 6;
- Easterpalooza on April 11 is also cancelled. Those already purchased wristbands are asked to hold onto them and return them for a refund once town facilities reopen.
All registered programs, rental permits and camps scheduled between March 14 and April 5, including March break camps, will be refunded.
Those who paid by credit card will be automatically refunded to the same card. Those who paid by another method such as cash, debit or cheque, you will be contacted by town staff and offered a credit or a refund.
