Some York Region businesses change hours in face of coronavirus pandemic

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the hours of businesses and services across York Region have been modified. Here is a list:
York Region
Tim Hortons
Starting March 17, all Tim Horton's will no longer permit customers to sit in the dining area. Customers can come in and purchase their drinks or food, however can not dine in. This will be in effect until further notice.
Upper Canada Mall
Starting March 16, retailers have been offered the choice to limit their hours of operation from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Check online for a list of specific stores and their hours as they vary. Shoppers Drug Mart will be open during regular hours in order to provide patients with their prescriptions.
Grocery Stores
Real Canadian Supermarket, remains open and is operating at regular business hours until further notice.
Vince's Market, remains open and is operating at regular business hours.
The Beer Store
All Beer Store locations across Newmarket remain open and are operating during their regular hours.
LCBO
All LCBOs in Newmarket are open and are operating during their regular hours.
Restaurants
Hungry Brew Hops and Lil' Brew Hops, has announced today that they will be temporarily closing their doors starting March 17 until further notice.
Ground Burger Bar, has announced that they will be closing their dining room and will reopen until further notice. They continue to offer take out using Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes, and Door Dash.
Torang, remains open and will be operating at regular hours. This Iranian restaurant will also be serving a speciality dish of fish and herb rice for Nowruz which is on March 19.
Los Locos, a restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food remains open and is operating at normal hours.
The Goulash House, will be closing their doors starting March 17, until further notice.
East Gwillimbury
Grocery Store
Vince's Market, remains open and is operating at regular business hours.
Longo's Green Lane, remains open is operating at regular business hours until further notice.
Thornhill
Promenade Mall
Starting March 16, hours of operation will change from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Saturday to Sunday. According to their website, extra precaution has been taken by cancelling previously scheduled March break activities for March 16 to March 20. The use of trays and coat check services have also been suspended at the mall until further notice.

All Beer Store locations across Thornhill remain and open and are operating during their regular hours.
LCBO
All LCBOs in Thornhill are open and are operating during their regular hours.
Richmond Hill
Hillcrest Mall
Starting March 16, the mall will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for an initial two weeks. Check the website for a list of retailers operating outside of our modified 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. hours. The mall will still be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. to continue to provide access to stores that have decided to operate as normal and services such as medical facilities within their centre.

Vaughan
Vaughan Mills Mall
Effective March 16, retailers have been given the option to reduce their hours of operation from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Shoppers should check with certain retailers directly about their opening hours.
Grocery Store
All Longo's Supermarkets remain open in Vaughan and are operating at regular business hours until further notice.
The Beer Store
All Beer Store locations across Vaughan remain and open and are operating during their regular hours.
LCBO
All LCBOs in Vaughan are open and are operating during their regular hours.
Restaurants
Tea Va See, will remain open and operate at regular hours until further notice.
Markham
Markville Mall
Starting March 16, hours of operation will be changed from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday to Friday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday to Sunday. These hours will remain in place until April 6, at which point they said they will re-evaluate. Check website for more details.
