Vital emergency services are now closer to home for the Kleinburg community. The City of Vaughan, together with Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS), are proud to officially open the City's 10th firehall - Station 7-4. Located at 835 Nashville Rd., the new fire station will better enable firefighters to serve Vaughan's growing population for years to come. Present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council and of course, Vaughan's finest! Located within the Kleinburg-Nashville Heritage Conservation District, this new station was designed to complement the area's heritage while still featuring state of the art design and equipment. It is also Leeds certified and meets all AODA requirements. During the ceremony, Mayor Bevilacqua stated, "Vaughan is one of the safest communities in Canada, largely because of the dedicated team at Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service who serve with pride and honour."
