For Family Day can bring long lineups so it makes sense to brainstorm some fun activities in advance.
Here are some ideas:
1) Celebrate Family Day at Arctic Adventure in Aurora
Enjoy outdoor activities like mini snow tubing, body zorbs and skating. There will also be fire juggling, ice carving and a wildlife show throughout the day.
2) Get active thanks to the Town of Georgina
Georgina offers a variety of Family Day activities from public skating and skiing to snowboarding and tubing at the ROC to public swims (lane as well as parent and tot sessions).
3) Enjoy a nature-filled family day that embraces outdoor learning
Join the staff at Kortright Centre for Conservation to explore some of what our nature school has to offer: building forts, a campfire and more. All-ages, free.
4) Families create artwork inspired by the Varley Art Gallery’s permanent collection
Guided by an art educator. Sponsored by Aboveground Art Supplies. Minimum age: four. Morning session: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Afternoon session: 2 to 4 p.m. Free tours start on the hour: from 1 to 3 p.m.
5) The 5th annual Kidapalooza Family Festival
Saturday, Feb. 15 to Monday Feb. 17. Event features inflatables, mechanical rides, stage shows, rock climbing and special guest appearances. Shop local and artisan vendors. Markham Fair Grounds, 10801 McCowan Road, Markham.
