The Annual Vaughan Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place on December 6th and was a magical evening and light show. Residents watched in excitement and anticipation as Vaughan’s 40 foot Christmas Tree came to life in a spectacular display of lights. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council were all in attendance, celebrating with the Vaughan community as friends, neighbours and families came together to celebrate the season. The tree lighting was accompanied by meet and greets with Santa Claus, a variety of family-friendly activities and plenty of festive music and entertainment throughout the evening. In the spirit of giving, the community was also encouraged to bring donations of new, unwrapped toys for children, newborn to age 18, to support the annual City of Vaughan Toy Drive which in turn supports the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish.
