On December 6th, in solemn remembrance of the 14 lives lost in the Ecole Polytechnique massacre 30 years ago, Yellow Brick House participated in several flag raising ceremonies across York Region, including right here in Vaughan. The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is an opportunity to honour and remember not only the 14 women killed that day but also the many who have lost their lives to gender based violence. Leave No One Behind is a movement to help break the silence and take action against violence in our communities. Yellow Brick House has been providing life-saving support services and prevention programs to meet community needs since 1978 and last year alone served over 5,300 women and children.
