Section of Ninth Line to close for repairs Wednesday

Ninth Line will be closed between Bloomington and Aurora Road in Whitchurch-Stouffville for repairs after heavy rainfall damaged an embankment

The Regional Municipality of York is temporarily closing Ninth Line between Bloomington Road and Aurora Road in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville starting Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Immediate work is needed to repair an embankment as a result of significant rainfall this past weekend.

For safety reasons, this section of Ninth Line is already reduced to one lane.

During the temporary closure, local access will be maintained. Electronic message boards have been placed in the area to advise motorists of the temporary road closure.
