Markham offers drop-in programs for those affected by teachers' strike action

Public high schools closed to students after last-ditch talks between province and OSSTF fail to reach deal

The City of Markham is offering drop-in programs in response to the secondary school closures in York Region as a result of the one-day strike action by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation Dec. 4.

Programs will be offered across the City to provide options to families that are impacted by the school closures.

A variety of fun, creative, active and educational drop-in programs opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registered programs will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., plus extended before and after care.
