Markham offers drop-in programs for those affected by teachers' strike action

The City of Markham is offering drop-in programs in response to the secondary school closures in York Region as a result of the one-day strike action by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation Dec. 4.
Programs will be offered across the City to provide options to families that are impacted by the school closures.
A variety of fun, creative, active and educational drop-in programs opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registered programs will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., plus extended before and after care.
Programs are being offered at the following locations:
- Aaniin Community Centre;
- Angus Glen Community Centre;
- Centennial Community Centre;
- Cornell Community Centre;
- Milliken Mills Soccer Dome; and
- Thornhill Community Centre.
