Songs of Pride Land -- The Music of the Lion King -- Markham

This all-ages show will be performed by talented former Toronto’s Lion King cast members, featuring songs from musical The Lion King. The special holiday performance hits the Markham Flato Theatre Dec. 27 and 28.

Happy New Year exhibit -- Vaughan

Discover the customs and traditions of New Year observances from around the world with artmaking activities. The special event at the McMichael Canadian Art Gallery is Dec. 29.

Menorah Lighting Ceremony -- Vaughan

Join city officials for the annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony celebrating Hanukkah, with live music, free family-friendly activities and traditional holiday treats. The event is Dec. 29 at Garnet A. Williams Community Centre in Thornhill.

Festival of Lights -- Georgina
