The holidays are often filled with family, fun and last-minute errands. It can be daunting trying to figure out what remains open and what’s closed over the holidays.

Here’s a wee guide to ease that holiday confusion:

OPEN

LCBO

Christmas Eve: Stores close 6 p.m. Boxing Day: Select stores open with reduced hours.

The Beer Store

Christmas Eve: Stores close 6 p.m. Boxing Day: Select stores open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shopping Malls:

Vaughan Mills -- Christmas Eve: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Boxing Day: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Hillcrest Mall (Richmond Hill) -- Christmas Eve: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Boxing Day: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Upper Canada Mall (Newmarket) -- Christmas Eve: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Boxing Day 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Markville Mall (Markham) -- Christmas Eve 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Boxing Day 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

CLOSED

Christmas Day: LCBO and The Beer Store will be closed as well as most shopping malls.

Dec 22: Sunday/holiday service starts.

Christmas Eve: Weekday service, Express routes operate early afternoon trips and GO Train connections. GO supplies this note: York Region Transit GO Shuttles, select Route 52 -- Holland Landing, Route 58 -- Mount Albert and Mobility On-Request King Local trips meeting GO Trains adjusted to meet early afternoon GO Train times.

Christmas Day: Sunday/holiday service.

Boxing Day: Saturday service.
