As part of Canadian Library Month, a number of special events took place across the Vaughan Public Library system in October. The month is dedicated to raising awareness about the valuable role that libraries play in our community and in our lives. Of particular note, the week of October 20th -- 26th was a special opportunity for many libraries to promote and share the many programs and services they provide and the Bathurst Clark Resource Library was one such location as they hosted a unique story time with Councillor Alan Shefman. Reading to toddlers during a scheduled storytime, Councillor Shefman was helping to promote literacy and a love of learning as one of the many Guest Storytellers (including other Councillors, MPP’s and our Mayor) that visited the various branches of the Vaughan Public Library throughout the month. These littlest constituents really enjoyed the morning!
