New traffic lights on Davis Drive, Jane Street and Keele Street to be complete by end of 2019

York Region replacing temporary traffic lights with permanent signals.
Just the facts:
- Location: Davis Drive and Jane Street in King Township;
- Construction started in early November is expected to be complete by the end of the year;
- The region is removing the temporary signals and replacing them with permanent traffic signals;
- The new traffic lights help improve visibility and safety at the intersection, and minimize maintenance with temporary traffic signals;
- The budget for the project is $185,000, which also includes two other intersection improvements. Flashing beacons are being installed at the Davis Drive and Dufferin Street intersection and at the Keele Street and East Humber Drive intersection.
- The Davis Drive and Jane Street construction amounts to about $168,000;
- The intersection will remain open, however daily temporary lane closures will be in place between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to accommodate construction.
