‘Like you’ve never seen it before’: Top 5 things to expect at Canada’s Wonderland this season

Norm Pirtovshek, general manager at Canada’s Wonderland, says this year the park is being transformed into a magical winter wonderland “like you’ve never seen it before.”

So here are the top things to expect this WinterFest, which runs from Nov. 22 until Dec. 31, showing more than 30 holiday attractions.

1- Three big Christmas trees

Guests will experience enchanting themed areas adorned with more than 5 million holiday lights, festive decor and three 15-metre-high Christmas trees.

2-Whimsical WinterFest worlds

Want to see some magical worlds? Well come and see Tinsel Town, the North Pole, Elf Village, Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town, Candy Cane Lane, International Street, Season of Lights and the Christmas Market, where shoppers can find unique, artisan gifts and festive foods.

3- Live Entertainment

These live entertainment includes the upbeat musical of Tinker’s Toy Factory. The musical is about Tinker, the elf, who has to deal with some sudden changes in Santa’s workshop that put his beloved old-fashioned toy-making in jeopardy.

Performers at Canada’s Wonderland will showcase their own version of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol at What the Dickens?!

How about, A Peanut’s Guide to Christmas? Well, join Charlie Brown and the gang in this enjoyable sing-along celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.

WinterFest makes its debut at Canada’s Wonderland Nov. 22 and includes live shows, ice skating, spectacular lights and decor. 4- Ice Skating

At Canada's Wonderland you can indulge in this classic winter sport on Snow Flake Lake in front of the iconic Wonder Mountain.

5- Interactive attractions

There will be some interactive attractions like cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, writing letters to Santa at the North Pole Post Office and creating take-home keepsakes at Sally’s Christmas Crafts.
