MAP: Find the best spot at the Santa Claus parades in York Region

Jolly Ol' St. Nick comes to town with parades in Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Newmarket, Schomberg, Vaughan, Markham, Unionville, Stouffville and Keswick

Jolly Ol' St. Nick is coming to a town near you. Check out the routes and find the best seat along one of many main streets in York Region.

Bring a mug full of hot chocolate, lawn chairs and blankets and watch the colourful floats, twinkly lights and marching bands parade on by.

Don't forget to bring your letters to Santa Claus (addressed to: Santa Claus, North Pole, H0H 0H0, Canada). Canada Post elves will be collecting letters to deliver them to the North Pole.

Community helpers will also be collecting non-perishable food items for local food pantries.

Aurora:
Santa Under the Stars -- Nov. 23, 6 p.m.

Parade travels south along Yonge Street from Orchard Heights Boulevard to Murray Drive.

Bradford:
Santa Claus Parade -- Nov. 16, 6:30 p.m.

Parade starts at Bradford and District High School, travels east along Holland Street, south on Simcoe Road and ends at the Bradford District Memorial Community Centre.

East Gwillimbury
Santa Claus Parade -- Nov. 17, 2 p.m.

The parade travels east along Mount Albert Road, starting at the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre and ending at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex.

Mount Albert Santa Claus Parade -- Dec. 7, 11 a.m.

The parade travels north on King Street, east on Shannon Road, south on Victoria Street, east on Mill Street, south on Centre Street and west on Main Street.

Georgina:
Keswick Santa Claus Parade -- Nov. 16, 1:30 p.m.

There's a new route this year. The parade travels north along Woodbine Avenue between Dovedale Drive and Wexford Road.

Sutton Santa Claus Parade of Lights -- Dec. 7, 5 p.m.

Parade stars in Jackson's Point, travels south on Dalton Road then east on High Street to the Sutton Fairgrounds.

King Township:
A Main Street Christmas Parade -- Dec. 7, 4 p.m.

A Main Street Christmas Farmers Night Parade -- Dec. 7, 8 p.m.

Both parades travel the same route. The parades start at Schomberg Comm and Agri Arena, then travels south along Main Street to Church Street.

Markham:
Markham Santa Claus Parade -- Nov. 23, 11 a.m.

Parade travels north along Main Street Markham, between Highway 7 and 16th Avenue.

Unionville Old Tyme Christmas Parade -- Dec. 6, 6 p.m.

The parade travels along Main Street, Unionville.

Newmarket:
Santa Claus Parade -- Nov. 16, 11 a.m.

The parade starts at the corner of Eagle Street and Lorne Avenue, travels east to Main Street, north on Main Street and ends at Ontario Street.

Richmond Hill:
Santa Claus Parade -- Nov. 16, 6 p.m.

Parade travels south along Leslie Street starting at William F. Bell Parkway to Performance Drive.

Whitchurch-Stouffville:
Santa Claus Parade -- Dec. 7, 6 p.m.

The parade travels along Main Street Stouffville from Ninth Line to Park Drive.

Vaughan:
Santa Claus Parade -- Nov. 24, 1:30 p.m.

The parade travels east along Major Mackenzie starting at Canada's Wonderland at Jane Street to Vaughan City Hall.
