If you don’t want to be slapped with a parking ticket, move your car from the streets of Richmond Hill now.
The city declared a winter event Nov. 11 following the significant snowfall.
On-street parking is currently prohibited to allow for snow clearing on the roads, and temporary on-street parking permits are invalid until winter operations end.
Vehicles parks on the road may receive a ticket and those in the way of city plows, salters or emergency vehicles could be towed.
Permit holders can park at select city-own facilities during this time. You can find a list of them at RichmondHill.ca/ParkingPermits. The temporary parking permit must be displayed clearly on the dashboard of the vehicle.
