Culture Day Latin Style was celebrated in STYLE at Vaughan Mills with an amazing free event that was fun for the whole family. Taking place in the Discovery Court area of the mall, the excitement could be felt building and building long before one even reached the area! Fuerza Latina, in partnership with the City of Vaughan, presented the event. It featured an Art exhibition by Ache Hernandez, Zumba and Salsa for everyone, Yambeque Colombian Folklore and plenty of music and dancing. The Fuerza Latina Dance Group entertained shoppers, families and visitors, as did the Mariachi Viva Mexico Band.
Fuerza Latina supports the Vaughan community through the provision of a variety of services they strive to make affordable for families. Youth leadership, Zumba, Support for Women, Recreational sports and more are just a small sample of the programs on offer. The event at Vaughan Mills was lively and entertaining, attracting the attention of anyone who happened to be in the area! Trey Cuban, Marinera Peruvian Folklore, Alfredo Jimenez Live Show and Altitud were also all part of the action.
