Mayor Bevilacqua and Councillor Linda Jackson were just two of the many faces we photographed at the 172 Annual Woodbridge Fall Fair! Thanksgiving weekend continues to be made even more special with this nearly two century long tradition of good, old-fashioned, fall fair fun. Celebrating a “taste of the country, right in the City” there was truly something for everyone to see, learn and do! Trampolines and bouncing, the Cadets marching (where we also spotted MP Francesco Sorbara and MP Deb Schulte) Brampton’s Batman, an exotic car show, a petting zoo and a children’s village were just some of the highlights. York Region firefighters were also on hand throughout the day. We saw youngsters learning how to milk a cow, the whole family could take a horse and wagon ride and there was information and activities related to life in the pioneer days – reminiscent of when the fair first began! The giant pumpkin contest was eye-catching to say the least and a dog show was highly entertaining. The fair ran throughout the Thanksgiving weekend at the Woodbridge Fairgrounds and was a wonderful opportunity for families to extend their Thanksgiving time together, spending time in the great outdoors. Hopefully no one spoiled their turkey dinners by eating too many yummy fall fair treats!
