Seniors Association of Vaughan Initiative (S.A.V.I.) Culture Fest

On Sunday, October 6th, 2019 the Seniors’ Association of Vaughan Initiative (S.A.V.I.) hosted the 4th annual Cultural Festival, engaging well over 800 senior members to gather together for a day of celebration. This annual event brings together seniors of various ethnic backgrounds to share the diversity of their cultures in a fun environment. “The committee strives to ensure that the day’s
events are diverse and entertaining,” S.A.V.I. Founder and Honourary Chair, Mario Ferri said. The event kicked off at 11am with a welcome from the Emcee’s Nicolina Talone, Club President of Sonoma Heights Seniors Club and Treasurer of S.A.V.I. along with Founder and Honourary Chair, Mario Ferri. Followed by warm welcome and cheque presentation from Mayor, Maurizio Bevilacqua to all S.A.V.I.
member clubs. When asked by the Founder and Honourary Chair, Mario Ferri if the event should be held again next year, all guests enthusiastically applauded and shouted “YES”!
