Disruptions to traffic signals are expected for several hours Oct. 10 at the intersection of two major Newmarket roadways.

Crews with the rapid transit construction project are expected to be working at the Yonge Street and Davis Drive intersection from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., according to an advisory issued by VivaNext.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised that lights may be out or flashing.

There will be periodic curb lane closures around the Yonge and Davis intersection, although vehicle access to Yonge and Davis will be maintained at all times.

Bus stops, sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open. If a bus stop, sidewalk or crosswalk is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop, sidewalk or crosswalk.

Paid duty police officers will be on-site to direct traffic until the traffic signals are restored.
