With the weather onside once again, this year’s Creating Alternatives Annual Charity Golf Classic & Dinner presented by Metro Group, managed to successfully unite the community for a praiseworthy cause. This year, the organization celebrated its 18th annual event at the beautiful Copper Creek Golf Club course on September 11, 2019. The event attracted a swarm of generous donors and guests, with over 200 golfers and over 400 for dinner, all are committed to supporting Creating Alternatives--a local organization that provides a day program services for adults with special needs.

Similar to years past, countless dedicated volunteers and the members of the program--including Creating Alternatives Founder Phyllis Santone, Gala Co-Chairs; Kimberley Gadwah, Victoria Mancinelli, & Danny Mauti, were on hand to ensure that the day’s proceedings went smoothly. Prior to the dinner, morning and afternoon golfers prepared for 18 holes on the course, as they enjoyed a breakfast lunch and each other’s company. After the exhilarating round and exciting on-course activities, golfers and additional guests made their way inside Copper Creeks for a cocktail reception and into the Grande Ballroom for an after-dinner affair that gave the organizers a chance to offer the day’s winners and the participants a delectable and savory meal. The “19th Hole” experience was co-emceed by Andrea Trentadue from CHIN TV & Anthony Farnell Global News Toronto’s Chief Meteorologist. The event also featured a Fund-A-Need campaign and Live Auction led by Layne, The Auctionista, which resulted in raising $50,000 in 15 minutes! Mayor Bevilacqua, along with MP Sorbara were in attendance to bring greetings and accolades to this amazing organization and group of dedicated individuals! All of the proceeds helped the committee raise over $350,000 for Creating Alternatives Day Program.
