M.P. Deb Schulte's Family Movie Night

On August 8th, Member of Parliament, Deb Schulte hosted her annual Family Movie Night under the stars in Maple with families from all across the riding. Adults and children alike were able to take part in fun activities and enjoy refreshments, while spending quality time together watching The Lorax. Local families were joined by surprise guest, The Earth Rangers, and were able to learn about local
animals and wildlife initiatives. The event would not have been a success without the help of volunteers and the Maple Lions Club.

M.P. Schulte also highlighted key affordability initiatives launched by the Government of Canada, including the Canada Child Benefit, the Middle Class Tax Cut, Canada’s first ever National Housing Strategy and an Employment Insurance (EI) Parental Sharing Benefit, to encourage parents in two-parent families to share in the work of raising their children.
